Crash Wraps Car Around Power Pole, Downed Lines Close Intersection

UPDATE: Roads are now back open.

At around 7 a.m. Friday morning, a two-vehicle crash caused a pickup truck to flip over and wrap around a power pole, sending the power lines into the intersection of Iona Rd. and 15th East in Bonneville County.

That intersection will be closed until crews are able to clear the road. Just after 8:15 a.m., workers arrived to work on clearing the power lines.

Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office’s Sgt. Bryan Lovell said the crash was caused by one of the vehicles failing to yield to the other, but it’s not clear yet as to which driver was at fault.

He confirmed, the only injuries have been minor, and no one was taken to the hospital.
