A cold front will move through the region today, so look for increasing winds, cloud cover with rain and snow showers beginning mid-morning. A Wind Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 45 to 55 MPH. Snow levels will start at 7,000 feet Fri morning. Dropping temperatures behind the cold front will rapidly drop snow levels to 4,500 feet by Fri eve. Accumulations of 2-5 inches are expected across the Central Mountains at the pass level, with higher amounts for higher elevations. This is especially true for west facing slopes.
Today: Much cooler and mostly cloudy with rain/snow showers. Windy as well in the afternoon with highs only near 50 degrees. Snow levels start at 6000 feet, and drop to 4500′ in the evening.
Tonight: Mostly clear with lows in the mid to upper 30’s.
Saturday: A slight chance of rain showers for the afternoon and evening. Afternoon highs near 50 degrees.
Sunday: A slight chance of showers with mostly cloudy skies, with highs in the upper 50’s. Breezy.
