Shooters compete in annual Grand Teton Gun Fight
Shooters from all over the country showed up today for the 8th annual Grand Teton Gun Fight. Shooters came out for some friendly contest.
“We shoot wax bullets, we shoot a single action revolver .45 caliber. You can buy them at any store,” says David Gyorfy, 2nd place winner.
They say it’s a sport for everyone. It can even be a bonding experience.
“Kids, grandkids can come shoot, all ages. The people are wonderful. No matter what, win or lose, we’re all here to support each other it’s a great sport,” says Kristine Ward, 2nd place winner.
“I’ve been doing fast draw for about 7 years now, my daughter is also involved in it. We do it together. At first, I was afraid that my daughter wouldn’t take to it, didn’t want to force her into something. She was 12 years old when she started out, she’s 18 now,” says Anthony Brazauskas, 1st place winner.
The Eagle Rock Outlaws annual competition is more about fun than it is about competition.
“Hugs, handshakes, it’s the cowboy way,” says Gyorfy
“You know, it feels really good. No matter how you place though, you’re always super happy, at least I am. You’re out and about with your friends and the people that you consider your family, for me whether I place first or last, I walk out of the range smiling,” says Anna Davis, 1st place winner.
