Man sentenced for sexual assault in Yellowstone Park
A Wyoming US District Court has sentenced Micah Nathanial Heck, 25, to a 12 month prison term for sexual battery.
Heck was charged after an incident on September 3, 2017 inside a concessionaire dormitory in the Old Faithful area of Yellowstone National Park, according to the National Park Service Investigative Services Branch (ISB)
Heck was also ordered to pay over $1,600 in restitution and fines.
A National Park Service ISB Special Agent worked with Park Rangers to obtain substantial evidence in support of the criminal charges. Heck was indicted and taken into custody in Claude, Texas.
