Motorcyclist killed in 2 vehicle accident near Victor

Idaho State Police report Klaus-Dieter Beyer, 58, of Siegen, Germany was killed in a pickup truck vs motorcycle crash at the intersection of W 6000 S at northbound SH33, near Victor in Teton County around 10:07 a.m. Tuesday.

ISP reports John Lawless, 54, of Victor, was driving northbound on SH33 in a 1993 Chevrolet Pickup, and Beyer was riding northbound on SH33 on a 2018 Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Lawless slowed his vehicle to make a left turn onto W 6000 S., and Beyer and his passenger, Carmen Beyer, 52, of Siegen, Germany, rear-ended Lawless and were ejected from the vehicle.

ISP reports Klaus-Dieter succumbed to his injuries on scene.

Air ambulance transported Carmen to Teton Valley Hospital, in Driggs. A ground ambulance later transported her to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Carmen was wearing a helmet. Klaus-Dieter was not wearing a helmet.

The northbound lane was blocked for approximately five hours.
