Winter Weather Advisory and Winter Storm Warnings issued by Weather Service
The Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Warnings have been expanded to include the Snake River Plain through Monday morning. Look for increasing wind speeds Sunday afternoon, along with scattered snow showers into early Monday morning.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM MST
MONDAY…
* WHAT…Snow and blowing snow expected. Increasing wind speeds
will create areas of blowing and drifting snow, creating
reductions to visibility. Impacts to travel and outdoor
activities are expected Monday morning. Total snow
accumulations of 1 to 4 inches are expected.
* WHERE…The Upper and Lower Snake River Plain from Pocatello
north to St. Anthony, and the Teton Valley including Tetonia and
Driggs.
* WHEN…Through 11 AM MST Monday. A break in the snow is expected
through this evening. Winds will be strongest during the day
Monday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Winds gusting as high as 50 mph Monday
will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow, especially
through the Interstate 15 corridor.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means periods
of snow and blowing snow will cause primarily travel
difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited
visibilities, and use caution while driving. The latest road
conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM MST MONDAY:
Including the cities of Preston, Soda Springs, Victor, Island Park, Stanley, Ketchum, Sun Valley, and Galena
* WHAT…Moderate to heavy snow and blowing snow expected.
Increasing wind speeds will create areas of blowing and drifting
snow, creating reductions to visibility. Impacts to travel and
outdoor activities are expected Monday morning. Total snow
accumulations of 7 to 14 inches, except 14 to 24 inches on
ridge tops and elevations above passes, are expected.
* WHERE…Idaho Cache Valley north to the Blackfoot Mountain
Range, including but not limited to the communities of Preston,
Soda Springs, Henry and Bone, and also including Emigration
Summit.
* WHEN…Through 5 PM MST Monday. Heaviest snow is Monday morning
with strong winds during the morning and afternoon.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Winds gusting as high as 55 mph Monday
will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow, especially over
mountain passes.

A Winter Storm Warning for snow and blowing snow means severe
winter weather conditions are occurring. If you must travel, keep
an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an
