Man already in jail accused in burglary

Idaho Falls police did not have to look far to find a suspect in an apartment burglary Monday. Bradley Helgeson, 23, was already in the Bonneville County Jail on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia after his arrest earlier that night in a traffic stop.

Police were called to the 1200 block of Idaho Avenue at 7 p.m., where a woman reported she came home to find a DVD player and a microwave missing from her apartment.

Two other apartment complex residents said they saw two men, including Helgeson, around the victim’s apartment. They said they watched the two leave the building with a small box of items.

The DVD player was located at Helgeson’s home.
