Teton County commission chair to resign

Teton County Commission Chair, Melissa Turley, has announced she will resign her seat on the board of county commissioners.

Turley accepted a position as Executive Director of the Teton Village Association. She will continue to serve in her current post into July. She was first sworn-in as a commissioner in 2013.

“It was a difficult decision to leave the county commission, but these sorts of opportunities only come up every 20 years. This move is great for me and for my family and the new role allows me to continue to work in local government while applying my collaborative skills and knowledge in another part of our community,” said Turley.

The county is taking steps to fill the vacancy in accordance with Wyoming statutes.
