Idaho Falls man arrested for meth

Police had to break down the door to get to a man who ran from police on Friday.

Idaho Falls Police say Todd M. Rathburn, 43, was arrested for possession of meth and resisting arrest.

According to police report, officers saw Rathburn in the 100 block of Irving around noon. When officers tried to talk to him, Rathburn took off and ran into a house and barricaded the door.

Rathburn refused to come out of the home for 30 to 40 minutes, police said.

Officers then broke the door and arrested Rathburn when they were concerned for the safety of a female inside the home, police said.
