Pocatello woman appears on vehicular manslaughter charge

A Pocatello woman waived her right to a preliminary hearing Tuesday.

Joanne Christofferson, 29, appeared before 6th District Magistrate Judge David Kress. Christofferson is being held on $100,000 bond.

Christofferson is charged with felony vehicular manslaughter in the death of Staci Shryock,44, in a crash on US Highway 30 in Pocatello on May 29.

Idaho State Police said Christofferson was traveling eastbound on the highway in a 1997 Mazda Protege, when she drifted into the westbound lane of travel, colliding with a 2005 Harley Davidson driven by Shryock, who was traveling westbound.
