Woman accused of threatening ex-boyfriend with bat, knife

A Chubbuck woman was arrested after she threatened her ex-boyfriend with a bat and knife at the Peppertree Lounge, Idaho Falls police said.

On Saturday around 10:30 p.m., Maria L. Bigley, 27, arrived at the Peppertree on North Holmes and tried to hit her ex-boyfriend with a bat, police said. A bouncer stopped her, and her ex-boyfriend disarmed her. She was escorted out of the Peppertree.

Outside of the building, she pulled a steak knife from her purse and threatened her ex-boyfriend again, according to police. The bouncer restrained and disarmed her, and officers were called.

Bigley was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault and booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
