Scientists convene in Pocatello for Chemical Society conference

Scientists and science students from all across the Northwest are in Pocatello this week for the American Chemical Society’s regional meeting.

The meeting, which began Sunday and ends Wednesday, serves as a platform for scientists to network and present new ideas to the scientific community.

Macie-Grace Guthrie, a BYU-Idaho biochemistry major, was among the many student scientists at the meeting

“It’s so exciting to see what the universities all around the region are performing and are discovering and are coming up with,” said Guthrie.

The meeting wraps up Wednesday at the ISU Student Union.
