Inmate dies in Teton County, Wyoming, jail

An inmate at the Teton County, Wyoming, jail died Thursday morning.

Around 7:30 a.m. Teton County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center staff discovered Kenneth Scott Millward, “who appeared to be sleeping, was unresponsive,” the sheriff’s office said.

Emergency personnel were called to the jail, where they pronounced Millward dead.

The Jackson Police Department is conducting an investigation into Millward’s death at the request of the sheriff’s office.

“At this time no foul play is suspected, and the death appears to be due to natural causes,” the sheriff’s office said.

As is standard in these situations, the sheriff’s office said it is conducting an internal investigation to make sure all policies were followed.
