Pocatello officer hurt in crash

A Pocatello Police officer was hospitalized after a two-car crash at around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Idaho State Police said Officer Jared Bowman,42, was a passenger in a patrol car driven by Officer Nicolette Pitcher, 28, at the intersection of Main Street and Gould Street.

According to ISP, Bryan Hudson,40, of Pocatello was northbound on Main Street in a 2010 Toyota Corolla. Pitcher was westbound on Gould Street in a 2017 Ford Explorer. Hudson failed to stop at a red light, entered the intersection, and collided with Pitcher’s patrol vehicle.

Bowman was taken by ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center. All of those involved were wearing seat belts.

Hudson was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. He was also arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.

The intersection was blocked for about an hour.
