Identity of captured wanted man released
UPDATE 7/7/21 IDAHO FALLS (KIFI) - Swat team deputies arrested Jordan Honeycutt yesterday afternoon.
We are told a K-9 officer found him hiding in a closet under some clothing. Honeycutt reportedly surrendered after the dog bit his leg. He was treated for minor injuries at the hospital and taken to the Bonneville County Jail.
The 28-year-old man now faces a Felony Warrant for Failure to Comply with Drug Court, 2 Felony Warrants for Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and a Misdemeanor Warrant for Petit Theft. He’s also charged with Misdemeanor Resisting Arrest and being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Investigators say deputies found a gun in the apartment during the search.
Another person inside, 22-year-old Rebecca Burnside of Blackfoot has been booked for a Felony Agent’s Warrant from Idaho Probation and Parole. She remains at the Bonneville County Jail. A second person who peacefully exited the apartment was released at the scene.
ORIGINAL STORY - An Idaho Falls street was shut down Tuesday evening, while the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office served a felony warrant.
Authorities served the warrant at an apartment on Benton Street. The rest of the apartment building was evacuated, while the deputies worked to arrest the suspects.
Two suspects surrendered without trouble, but a third man refused to come outside.
Deputies used an irritant gas and a dog to help arrest the man. The man was taken to the hospital to be checked out, before being transported to the jail.
Information on the suspects, charges, and alleged crimes have not been released yet.
