Police search for stolen vehicle suspect

REXBURG, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK) - UPDATE 12/12/19 1:00 p.m. Police are still processing the vehicle for evidence and perusing the investigation.

UPDATE 1:00 p.m. The Rexburg Police Department reports the subject was believed to be last seen in the area of 5th West and Poleline Road.

Police say the suspect is wearing a dark-colored hat and a black or grey sweater.

ORIGINAL: The Madison County Sheriff Idaho says there is a large police presence on the 1100 block of South 2nd East because officers are recovering a stolen vehicle in the area.

Officers are looking for the suspect who is presumed to be on foot.

Police say the suspect is a male wearing a ball cap and sweatshirt.

The sheriff's office said, "there is no cause for alarm, but please do your best to stay clear."
