WATCH NOW: KIFI LOCAL NEWS 8

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Idaho Falls Auditorium District Executive Director Rob Spear announced Monday a new donation sponsorship to the Mountain America Event Center.

You can watch it below.

Spear said the center has been in the works for a long time, and in order to make this dream a reality, they needed a few heroes.

He announced Golden Valley Natural and its Hero brand is one of those big heroes.

Spear said the inside of the arena at the Mountain America Center will be known as the Hero Arena.

Golden Valley Natural will donate $2,000,000 to secure the naming rights to the new arena.

The Idaho Falls Auditorium District will have a 27,000 square foot arena capable of seating up to 5,500 people. An additional 11,500 square feet of meeting space, including three convention rooms, will allow the event center to host conventions and trade shows. Flexible meeting spaces, proximity to the I-15 highway, and ample parking will make the facility an attractive venue for events of all kinds.

On Friday, Bingham Healthcare announced it will be donating $400,000 to the Idaho Falls Auditorium District as the event center’s newest community sponsor.
