Sports Line Game of the Week: Highland defeats Owyhee 28-10 to reach 5A semifinals

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - This time, the first game of the 5A state playoffs went the way of the Highland Rams, as Highland defeated the Owyhee Storm Friday 28-10 to reach the 5A semifinals.

Highland jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first half thanks to rushing touchdowns from Drew Hymas and Jackson Riddle.

After Owyhee closed the deficit to 14-10 at halftime, the Rams took care of business in the second, scoring two touchdowns to pull away for a 28-10 quarterfinal victory.

Next up, Highland takes on Meridian next week in the 5A semifinals, with the Rams as the lone East Idaho team remaining in the 5A playoffs following Rigby's close loss to Eagle.
