3 things to know this morning – December 6, 2023

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Here's what you should know to start your Wednesday.

1. According to Bonneville County Sheriff's Sgt. Bryan Lovell, one reason Jeremy Best was released from EIRMC is because he went with EMS for a mental evaluation voluntarily. This means a hospital couldn't put a 24-hour hold on him unless he met specific criteria. Best was later arrested for allegedly murdering his wife and unborn child.

2. New road work is coming to US Highway 91 or Yellowstone Avenue in the Pocatello-Chubbuck area. It's because of large cracks that formed along two major stretches of road. ITD says this project is slated for 2025, but if funding comes in earlier, it could be sooner.

3. The Wyoming Department of Transportation will be repairing potholes on the Snake River Bridge today. WYDOT will be repairing potholes on Wyoming State Highway 22 at the intersection of Highway 390 from noon to 2 p.m. The work should take only one day, weather permitting.
