Malad escapes Ririe with 21-18 victory after late Bulldogs push

RIRIE, Idaho (KIFI) — Malad escaped Ririe with a 21-18 win Friday night, holding off a fourth-quarter push from the Bulldogs.

Ririe’s defense made an early impact when Bulldogs defenders swarmed Malad quarterback Easton Green for a sack.

Green responded later in the quarter, connecting deep with Parker Price for a touchdown that gave the Dragons a 13-12 lead.

Ririe found new life in the fourth quarter when Razden Harris intercepted Green, setting up the Bulldogs with a chance to take control.

Near the goal line, Bryce Barber punched it into the end zone to give Ririe a fourth-quarter lead.

The advantage would not hold, however, as Malad answered and came away with the 21-18 victory.

And for anyone making the trip to Ririe for a football game, the Bulldog Burger gets a 10-out-of-10 recommendation.
