ANNAPOLIS, Maryland (WBAL) — Annapolis police are investigating multiple juvenile sex assaults involving an unlicensed day care.
City police said investigators received in July reports of juvenile sex assaults at 240B Hilltop Lane from between 2014 and 2015.
Police said further investigation revealed another juvenile victim was assaulted in 2013.
Police said the address was previously used as an unlicensed day care run by a woman known as Betty, who babysat children for about 16 years, from 2003 to 2019.
Investigators charged Roberto Medina with multiple sex offenses, including first- and second-degree rape, third- and fourth-degree sex offense and second-degree assault. Police arrested him Friday morning in Anne Arundel County.
Anyone with information regarding the children that may have been cared for by Betty during this time is asked to call Annapolis police Detective Nancy Moore at 410-693-3635 or email her at nkmoore@annapolis.gov.
