Snake River Junior High Principal Charged With Sexual Abuse

The principal of Snake River Junior High School was arrested Wednesday on two counts of felony sexual abuse of a minor child.

Bingham County Sheriff Dave Johnson said Christopher Cox, 38, is in jail and will be arraigned at 9 a.m. Thursday.

He said the investigation began after the office received a complaint from a student who now lives in Wyoming.

Cox faces 25 years in prison on each count and a $50,000 fine.

Cox has been principal for four years.
