?He brings a great deal of experience, additional perspectives and a broad set of new contacts to our efforts,? said Tim Forhan, chairman of the Bannock Development Board of Directors. ?His years of both community and regional economic development experience are a great fit for our needs. It was a pleasure to see the immediate chemistry John developed with the people he met when he visited.?

?Gynii Gilliam?s skills have created an excellent organization and it is my goal to build upon her economic development accomplishments through attracting new businesses and growing existing businesses,? said Regetz. ?Bannock Development?s volunteer leadership is as talented as any I have seen in the nation and I am very excited about the resources Idaho State University and the Idaho National Laboratory offer as economic development partners in the community.?

Regetz is expected to begin work March 19. Darlene Gerry is the interim director.

BDC?s primary mission is to help create jobs and diversify the economy of the greater Pocatello/Chubbuck region and Bannock County through business retention, expansion and relocation, the organization said.
