Idaho Falls Apartment Burns
A fire caused $25,000 to an apartment Sunday, the Idaho Falls Fire Department said.
The fire occurred on the two-story apartment building on 1881 E. 17th St. Residents in nearby apartments self-evacuated.
The fire was contained in the apartment of origin, the fire department said.
One resident was transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated, but fire officials said there was no working smoke detector.
