Teen Bomb Plot Suspect Released To Parents
Authorities say a 16-year-old boy accused in a plot to blow up his high school is being released to his parents.
Utah courts spokeswoman Nancy Volmer says a judge in Ogden’s 2nd District Juvenile Court ordered the release Friday.
The Roy High School student spent about a month in a detention facility on a charge of possessing a weapon of mass destruction.
Police arrested the teen and 18-year-old Dallin Morgan on Jan. 25 after another student told authorities about a suspected plot to set off a bomb during a school assembly.
The Associated Press does not typically identify juveniles who are suspects in crimes or charged in juvenile court.
Morgan faces the same charge in adult court. A conviction carries a life sentence.
