Get Ready For A Wind-Filled Weekend

The heavy winds have abated, but they will soon return.

A high wind warning is in effect for southeastern Idaho from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.

The area will see winds from 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 60 mph, similar to the weather Wednesday that caused power outages and property damage.

A cold front will arrive early Saturday morning, accompanied by strong, potentially damaging winds.

The National Weather Service in Pocatello warns that damage to trees and power lines is possible. Home owners are strong encouraged to store or anchor property that might become airborne. Vehicles, especially trucks, may have difficulty keeping control on Interstates 15 and 84.
