Pocatello Man Accused Of Snatching Luggage At SLC Airport
A 46-year-old Idaho man is facing a felony theft charge after authorities say he snatched another man’s bag from a Salt Lake City airport carousel and stole some of its contents.
Charges were filed against Edwardo Jaramillo of Pocatello last week in Salt Lake City’s 3rd District Court, and were first reported by KSL.
After a passenger reported his bag was stolen from the airport Feb. 12, police found surveillance footage of a man in a gray shirt removing the luggage from the Delta carousel and leaving in a car.
Police traced the vehicle and contacted the suspect’s wife, who found the bag in very bad shape with some items missing. The bag and its contents are valued at more than $1,700.
