Break-In, Attack Sends Pocatello Man To Hospital
Pocatello police and fire units responded to a break-in and attack at 855 1/2 North Garfield just after 2 p.m., said Lt. Paul Manning.
The victim said that an unknown number of suspects entered and attacked him with a blunt instrument, Manning said. Detectives are unsure what the blunt object was at this point, he said.
The victim was immediately transported to Portneuf Medical Center. He has several blunt trauma injuries and is answering questions with conflicting information, leaving the investigation open, Manning said. Police have been able to identify possible suspects, however, no one has been arrested at this point, Manning said.
The victim initially called dispatch to say he was attacked with a knife and hung up.
There is no information connecting this attack with Tuesday’s early morning shooting, Manning said. (See article here.)
