No Sign Of Missing 4-Year-Old at Great Salt Lake
Crews that used a 35-foot boat to search the Great Salt Lake say they weren’t successful in finding the body of a Layton boy who was swept away in a river and is presumed drowned.
The Standard-Examiner reports the search Tuesday near the Eardley Spit peninsula, about six miles west of the Great Salt Lake Marina, failed to turn up 4-year-old Corbin Anderson.
The boy fell into the Weber River in Ogden on April 28, while his family was taking pictures on the edge of the water.
Crews have been searching since. Last week, they brought a track-hoe in an attempt to shift the course of the Weber River and uncover the body.
Another group used an airboat from Antelope Island to search for the boy near Fremont Island.
