Teen Arrested After Homework Left At Crime Scene
Orem police have arrested a burglary suspect whose homework was left behind at the scene of the alleged crime.
Authorities say they arrested 18-year-old Dallas Naljahih after they found a USB drive with his homework on it abandoned in the victims’ backyard.
A 75-year-old man and his wife reported their home had been burglarized about 4:30 a.m. Saturday. The husband said he was woken up by a light in his office, and found a man inside who was looking through a desk.
The suspect punched the man in the face and fled on foot.
Police say they found the USB drive in a backpack at the scene. They say they tracked the teenager down and found him asleep at his house along with some evidence connecting him with the burglary.
