Child Struck By Car, Killed Near Burley

Authorities say a 5-year-old boy has died after he ran into a road and was struck by a car south of Burley.

The Times-News reports that Brandon Wayne Wright was pronounced dead at a hospital after the accident Saturday.

A sheriff’s report says the boy was apparently attempting to cross the road near his home when a passing vehicle struck him.

The report listed driver inattention as a contributing circumstance, but the 65-year-old driver was not cited.
