Pancheri Overpass Work To Begin Monday

Idaho Falls commuters may be in for a real bummer of a drive starting on Monday.

Crews will begin work to replace the Pancheri Bridge overpass.

The street will be widened to five lanes, including a center turning lane. The new bridge will also include bike and pedestrian lanes in both directions.

The project is expected to finish in November, and construction will take place 7 days a week until then. The city said construction may affect traffic flow on Interstate 15, which runs under the bridge.

Monday’s construction will close Pioneer Road at its intersection with Pancheri.
