Main St. Buzz: Scoresby Farms

Each week, Eyewitness News showcases a different eastern Idaho business that chooses to do things differently.

This time, it’s the Scorseby Farms store on Yellowstone and 17th in Idaho Falls.

The former gas station-turned fresh foods shoppe boasts vibrant produce and specialty items.

During the growing season, most all of the Scoresby produce is fresh from the farm. A few offerings come from other local Idaho producers.

Even during winter months, the store works exclusively with a collection of small farms in California, to keep produce fresh and support small business farming.

“The smaller farms are fantastic, because we can bring it straight from the field to us, so it’s much more fresh than anywhere else you’ll find,” said manager Qusten Merrill.

The farm store is on the corner of Yellowstone and 17th in Idaho Falls, and opens at 9 a.m.
