Man Commits Suicide; Bullet Hits Friend

Police in Kellogg, Idaho, say a man committed suicide in a car, and the bullet passed through his body and struck the driver of the vehicle.

Officers were called to the scene near Interstate 90 early Wednesday morning, and found the passenger of the vehicle dead and the driver severely injured.

Police say the passenger shot himself with a 40-caliber handgun, and the bullet exited his body and struck the driver of the vehicle, Bryan Septer. Police say Septer had to be airlifted to a hospital after complaining he couldn’t feel his legs.

Police say the identity of the dead man is being withheld until family is notified.
