Passing Motorist Pulls Driver From Crash

A passing motorist is credited for pulling a man from a burning vehicle just before it burst into flame. Idaho State Police say a car driven by 48 year old Scott Mann of Pocatello was west bound on US 30 near the I-15 junction when he struck a guardrail on the interstate overpass at about 11:50 pm Wednesday.

They say Mann over-corrected and swerved in a “jersey barrier” on the left shoulder and his car caught fire.

A passerby pulled Mann from the vehicle before the car was fully engulfed in flame. Mann was taken by ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center with minor injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.

Idaho State Police say the accident is still under investigation.
