Idaho State Controller Donna Jones Injured In Car Accident
Authorities say Idaho State Controller Donna Jones is being treated for injuries suffered in a car accident on Interstate 84.
Jones’ Chief of Staff Brandon Woolf says the 73-year-old elected official was injured Friday afternoon in a crash in Minidoka County. She was flown to a hospital in Boise.
Officials have not yet detailed the extent of her injuries.
Woolf says Jones was on a personal trip and returning from eastern Idaho when the crash occurred.
She was elected state controller in 2006, and before that the Payette native served 12 years in the Idaho House of Representatives.
The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
