Train Hits Trailer In Lava Hot Springs

A truck towing a trailer got stuck on railroad tracks, resulting in an accident in Lava Hot Springs on Sunday night.

The Bannock County Sheriff?s Office said that at about 10 p.m., a 2000 Chevy Silverado towing a camp trailer got stuck on the train tracks at Blazer road was struck by a passing train.

No one was hurt in the crash. When the driver was unable to move the vehicle off the tracks, passengers left the truck.

The accident took about three hours to clean up. The train resumed its transit at 1:15 a.m.
