4 Killed In Plane Crash Near Zion National Park
Crews are working to recover the bodies of four people who died when their single-engine plane crashed near Zion National Park.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Mike Fergus said the aircraft with four people aboard left North Las Vegas Airport headed for Utah’s Bryce Canyon National Park on Tuesday morning.
The company that owns the plane reported it missing when it failed to arrive at its destination.
FAA records show the plane is registered to Hunt Aviation LLC in Las Vegas. A telephone message left Wednesday for Timothy Hunt, the company’s registered agent, wasn’t returned.
Kane County authorities say the plane crashed at about 3 p.m. Tuesday, setting off an emergency beacon.
Fergus said the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will be investigating the cause of the crash.
