Hot mini doughnuts for breakfast

Doughnuts have become the new breakfast, and now hot mini doughnuts are at the convenience of a food truck.

The Sugared Moose Mini Doughnut trailer is parked on the corner of Hitt road and 1st street in the Tesoro gas station lot in Ammon.

Owner Megan Kreizenbeck decided to take her love for comfort food and turn it into a business. Her husband and two young daughters all help mom make the batter and sugar the doughnuts.

Kreizenbeck makes each order fresh in her doughnut machine, it only takes a few moments for you to get hot mini-doughnuts in seven different flavors.

“We do a huckleberry sugar, that’s been super popular. We’ve done a maple sugar, we’ve done chocolate powdered sugar which is unique. A raspberry sugar and a coffee sugar. We put them in a bag, shake the sugar onto them and then hand them to the customer. They get to enjoy a steaming hot bag of doughnuts because we make them fresh per order.

The trailer is open from 7:30 a.m to noon. Doughnuts start at just $3.50 a dozen, kids sizes are only $1.00.
