Teens arrested in 2 business burglaries

A group of teens were arrested in two early Monday morning burglaries in Bonneville County.

Idaho Falls police said 19-year-old Garrett Skidmore, 19, of Mud Lake, and Marco A. Barron, 18, and Oscar U. Chavez, 19, both of Idaho Falls, tried to break into the Quick Stop on John Adams. Police found the front doors damaged around 2:30 a.m., but said the three were unable to get inside.

Bonneville County deputies located the suspects’ car and arrested them. They said the teens earlier tried to break into the Tobacco Connection in Ammon as well. In that incident, a brick had been thrown into a glass door and items inside were in disarray.

Deputies discovered cases of unopened beer and cigarettes in the truck of the car.

The three were arrested on charges of burglary. Also facing burglary charges are two minors, ages 16 and 17, who were booked into the 3B Detention Center.
