Weekend winter storm leaves icy roads in Pocatello
This weekend’s freezing temperatures and wet, winter storm is leaving Pocatello iced-over on Sunday morning.
Idaho State Police already responded to one slide-off and remind drivers to remain cautious when traveling around town today, especially with the high winds taking effect.
“You have to slow down, give yourself some time, increase your following distance so that you are not sliding into the back of the motorist in front of you,” ISP Sgt. Mike Winans said.
Winans also warned, although the roads are starting to clear up a bit, the shoulders of the interstates are still icy along with the on and off-ramps.
