Woman dies in Idaho Falls crash

Police have released the names of two people involved in a deadly crash in Idaho Falls early Friday morning.

Around 12:50 a.m., a 2007 silver Toyota Scion was traveling south down South Fifth West near Daytona Street at a high speed. Amanda Centeno-Engle, 20, and Trevor McCowin, 28, both of Idaho Falls, were in the car.

The driver lost control and struck landscaping boulders on the east side of the road.

Centero-Engle was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the crash. McCowin was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center by ambulance. As of 3 p.m., EIRMC said McCowin was in serious condition.

Police said they do not know who was driving the car. The crash is under investigation.
