Man arrested in bayonet incident
A Pocatello man was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault after he allegedly lunged at a woman while he held a bayonet.
Pocatello police said Richard Charles Simmons was arrested on the 1300 block of North Grant at 6:40 p.m. Monday. Police were called after someone complained Simmons was armed with a knife and causing a disturbance.
When police arrived, Simmons dropped the bayonet and complied with officers without further incident.
