Car burglar with gun threatens victims

Pocatello police are looking for a man who drew a gun on car owners early Thursday morning.

According to reports, the victims of a vehicle burglary saw the man attempting to remove items from their van at the 1200 block of Willard at 5:10 a.m. Thursday. When they approached, the suspect pulled a gun from his waist and pointed it at them.

While they ran back to their home, the burglar got into the driver’s seat of a silver, four-door car with chrome wheels.The car was headed south bound on Willard towards Chapel. Police have not located the car.

After further investigation, officers found other vehicle burglaries in the same area.

Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact Pocatello police.

People are advised not to approach vehicle burglars since they could be armed. They encourage citizens to get a good description of suspects and their vehicle and call 911 immediately.
