Pocatello votes in favor of nondiscrimination ordinance

Pocatello voters chose to keep a nondiscrimination ordinance Tuesday night.

The election was a close one, with 4,885 voting no (that is, to keep it) and 4,738 voting yes (to repeal it).

The nondiscrimination ordinance forbids discrimination against a person based on their sexual orientation and gender identity or expression. It applies to housing, employment and public accommodations.
