Eastern Idaho State Fair announces concert acts

Two music groups were announced for the concerts at the Eastern Idaho State Fair.

Fair manager Brandon Bird said country superstars Big & Rich and Creedence Clearwater Revisited will perform on stage at the grand stand this year.

Big & Rich is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 4 with Creedence Clearwater Revisited to perform on Friday, Sept. 5.

This year the fair will be offering a special 2-night package for the concerts. The package will include fair admission starting at $44, $39 if purchased before the end of June. Tickets go on sale on June 13, they said.

They also announced the All Star Monster Truck tour will be in the grand stand on Wednesday, Sept. 3. The trucks will include the “Bounty Hunter,” Iron Outlaw,” and “Double Trouble.”

The other evenings will include the traditional tractor pull, Pro-Rodeo and Demolition Derby.
