Mikaela Jensen wins Distinguished Student of the Year Award

38 weekly winners of the Distinguished Student Award were featured during the school year.

Mikaela Jensen will begin her freshman year at BYU-Idaho in the fall to study nursing. She says working with the elderly at her job at The Gables Assisted Living Center inspired her to become a nurse. This summer she will work at The Gables again.

“I was able to help my grandma and grandpa out a lot taking her to doctors appointments and stuff and it helped me realize I like working with the elderly and helping them get the care they need because they deserve it,” Jensen said.
