UPDATE: Body of missing Kentucky truck driver found

The body of a truck driver reported missing earlier Wednesday has been found.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s office was notified Wednesday afternoon of an unattended death at the westbound Juniper rest area.

Detective investigated the death and found that the body was that of Advin Benotakih, who was a truck driver for Greenline Express trucking, in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

The trucking company reported Benotakih missing after he was last seen at a rest stop just inside the Idaho border Sunday, and he couldn’t be reached on his cell phone.

Sunday morning Benotakih told the trucking company his wallet had been stolen in Ogden, Utah.

The trucking company says Benotakih was very emotional and distraught because all his cash was in the wallet.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office says Benotakih died from a self inflicted gunshot wound.

His family has been notified and are making arrangements for services to be held in California.
