Free HIV testing offered in Idaho Falls

All day Friday people were able to stop by the offices of the Eastern Idaho Public Health District in Idaho Falls to learn their HIV status.

Friday is National HIV Testing Day, and according to the Centers for Disease Control, one in six infected Americans don’t know their status.

“We feel everyone should have at least one HIV test to know your status,” said Gary Rimella, director of family and community health services at the health district.
