Public input wanted for future road construction

With only two seasons in Idaho — Winter and Construction — the latter can be very trying to your patience when traveling anywhere across the state or across the city. But there is a place to go to find out what’s on the schedule for future projects and even provide input on the design of the final project.

The Bannock Transportation Planning Organization is looking for public comment on future road construction projects in Pocatello and Chubbuck. These projects include changes to the intersections of Hawthorne and Quinn and Alameda and Jefferson.

“I think they’re getting close on Alameda and Jefferson to come back out to the public and say ‘Here’s some of our designs, here’s where we’re going,’ and get input before they go to final design,” said Mori Byington, planning director for the BTPO.

To see projects slated and find out how to comment on them, follow this link to the BTPO website:http://bit.ly/1oLziqQ. You can email your comments to mori@bannockplanning.org or mail them to the BTPO P.O. Box 6129, Pocatello, Idaho 83205-6129.
